Inter-Distt Div Level Under-17 Girls Volleyball Tournament begins in Samba

Samba : The District Youth Services and Sports Office (DYSSO) Samba organised the Inter-District Divisional Level Under-17 Girls Volleyball Tournament at Rani Suchet Singh Sports Stadium, Samba.
The tournament was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Rajesh Kumar Sharma, in presence of Guest of Honour, Jagdish Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, along with other distinguished officials.
During the event, the DC interacted with the teams, offering words of encouragement and support. He extended his best wishes to all participants, motivating them to compete with passion and sportsmanship, and underscored the significance of youth involvement in sports for their overall development.
During the inaugural ceremony, participants took a pledge to promote sports participation and avoid drug use, underlining the importance of healthy and active lifestyle.
The tournament has brought together 94 young athletes from 9 districts of the Jammu Division, providing a platform for these talented girls to showcase their volleyball skills, while fostering teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship. DYSSO Samba Dharmvir Singh welcomed all the participants and encouraged them to give their best throughout the competition.
