Jammu: Alert troops of Border Security Force have successfully foiled an infiltration bid and recovered arms and ammunition during the search along the International Border in Ranbir Pura sector here.
The BSF spokesman here on Sunday said that in the intervening night of September 21-22, the vigilant BSF troops noticed a suspicious movement wherein an intruder was observed approaching toward BSF fence in R S Pura border area.
“The alert troops thwarted the infiltration attempt,” he said.
The spokesman added that a thorough search was carried out in the first light, and till now the troops have recovered two pistols, 20 rounds of 9 mm, four magazines, one Ak-47 series rifle with two magazines, and 17 rounds.
