Jammu : The Soil Testing Laboratory (STL) of Jammu has achieved accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) for soil macro and micro nutrients testing.
The official spokesperson said that the significant milestone was attained under the leadership and guidance of Arvinder Singh Reen, Director Agriculture Jammu, and the dedicated efforts of the Agriculture Chemist Jammu, Dr. Aman Jyoti Sharma, Assistant Soil Chemist Dr. Neeraj Rajwal, and the entire STL Jammu team.
Director Agriculture Jammu extended congratulations to the officers and team of STL Jammu. He commended their relentless efforts to meet NABL’s stringent requirements.
“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the STL Jammu team. It marks a significant enhancement in our laboratory’s capability to deliver precise and reliable results,” said Reen.
The Soil Testing Laboratory Jammu is equipped with world class equipment for analyzing macro and micro nutrients. Serving as a central laboratory, STL Jammu provides technical assistance to nine other soil testing laboratories in the region and also supports other Departmental STL’s, MSc, PhD students from Central University and Jammu University by conducting analyses for their samples.
This accreditation not only strengthens STL Jammu’s commitment to quality but also highlights its vital role in advancing agricultural standards and practices throughout the region.
The NABL, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, is renowned for providing accreditation to testing and calibration laboratories across various fields.
