Economics department, CUJ Jammu, Hosts Induction cum Orientation Prog for 2024-25

Jammu : The Department of Economics at the Central University of Jammu organized an Induction cum Orientation Programme to welcome the students of the new academic batch (2024-2025).
Induction cum orientation programme is an initiative of Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, CUJ where the concerned faculty sensitizes and supports
the newly arriving students in the Department towards an enabling eco system.
Prof. Aswini Kumar Nanda, Head, Department of Economics, extended a warm welcome to the new students, introducing them to the Department’s vision and academic environment. He motivated them to strive for excellence and immerse themselves in the dynamic field of economics.
Dr. Shaveta Kohli, Associate Professor, provided an informative overview of the University’s officials, facilities, and resources available to the students. She also detailed the academic framework and support system within the Department, ensuring that the newcomers were well- prepared to begin their journey. Faculty members Dr. Susanta Nag, Preeti Gupta, and Mr. Anil Kumar Bharti shared their insights with the students, encouraging them to work diligently and stay focused on their academic pursuits. Their words of wisdom inspired the students to commit to their studies with dedication. The senior students of the Department also participated in the programme, sharing their
experiences and offering valuable guidance to their juniors, helping them navigate both academic and campus life at the University. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks, delivered by Arundhati on behalf of the Economic Society, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their participation and support in making the programme a success. The Induction cum Orientation Programme marked the beginning of an exciting academic journey for the new batch, laying a strong foundation for their future endeavors in the field of economics.
