Kupwara : The District Election Officer (DEO) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan on Saturday took an extensive tour of various places in the district and inspected the process of commissioning of EVM/ VVPAT and election material.
At Handwara, the DEO visited ITI Handwara and inspected the ongoing commissioning of EVM/ VVPAT machines and election material. RO Handwara, Aziz Ahmad Rather accompanied the DEO.
The DEO also inspected the Counting Hall and Strong Room established at ITI Handwara and took stock of the preparations made for conduct of the polling process in Handwara and Langate Assembly Constituencies.
She stressed upon the concerned officers and employees engaged with the election duty to work with utmost dedication and coordination to ensure smooth conduct of the election.
Earlier, RO Handwara briefed the DEO about the various preparations made in the sub division Handwara for hassle free conduct of the election process.
