Samba National Lok Adalat disposes of 752 cases

Samba : As per the directions of Executive Chairman J&K Legal Services Authority, National Lok Adalat was on Tuesday organised at District Court Complex, Samba.
National Lok Adalat was inaugurated by R. N. Wattal, Pr. District & Sessions Judge (also Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Samba).
Three benches were constituted for settling the cases referred (Pre and Post Litigation), Bench No.1 comprised of R. N. Wattal, Pr. District & Sessions Judge (also Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Samba), Arvind Sharma, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Samba, Sandeep Singh Sen, Secretary DLSA and S.K. Khanmotra, Senior Advocate; Bench No.2 consisted of Umesh Sharma, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Himani Parihar, Munsiff (JMIC) and Renu Bala, Senior Advocate;
Bench No. 3 comprised of Ananta Raina, Additional Special Mobile Magistrate, Samba, Urvashi Raina, Additional Munsiff, Samba and Ganesh Sharma, Senior Advocate.
The matters placed before the Benches included Civil, Criminal Compoundable, Cheque Bounce, Bank Recovery matters, MACT, Matrimonial, Pre-litigation matters, D.V. Act, Negotiable Instrument Act, 125 Cr.Pc., and Petty Offence(s) including traffic challans. Besides, Two more Benches were constituted for settling Revenue Cases, Cases under Food Safety and Standard Act, 2006, all cases of petty loans pending in all revenue Courts including the Courts of Tehsildar of District Samba, all Petty Public Utility Services related Cases, all Compensation Cases pending in the Courts of Assistant Labour Commissioner Samba.
A total 991 cases were taken up for amicable settlement out of which 752 cases were settled and an amount of over Rs 2.28 crore was realized as settlement amount.
