The event, aimed at encouraging citizens to exercise their right to vote, began at Valmiki Chowk, passed through Green Belt Park, and culminated back at Valmiki Chowk.
The rally attracted a large number of participants, including officials, athletes, and local residents, all united in their commitment to strengthening democracy.
The rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, as the chief guest of the event.
CEO Jammu Smart City, Dr. Devansh Yadav, Additional CEO Jammu Smart City, Rakesh Gupta and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
The initiative was a collaborative effort of Jammu Smart City, the District Administration, and Cycling Association of Jammu and Kashmir (CAJK).
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya said “With the elections scheduled for October 1 in Jammu district, we urge all eligible voters to come out in large numbers on polling day and cast their vote. Our ultimate goal is to achieve maximum voter turnout. This bicycle rally is just one of many steps we are taking to ensure that citizens are not only registered to vote but are also motivated to go out and vote,”.
He also congratulated the Cycling Association of Jammu and Kashmir members for their excellent support in organizing this rally and hoped to see more such initiatives in the future.
Ravinder Singh President CAJK, Rajeev Sharma Member J&K Sports Council, Deepak Handa Senior Vice President J&K Private School Association also participated in the bicycle rally.
