Kulgam: District Election Officer (DEO) Kulgam Athar Amir Khan on Monday said preparation for dispatch of polling parties tomorrow have been completed in the district.
Talking to reporters, Khan, said all preparations for dispatch of polling parties tomorrow have been completed, “We have three assembly constituency in the district, our dispatch receipt centres are at respective degree collages, at DH Pora, Kulgam and Kilam, where EVMs would be handed over to polling parties, after that they would be dispatched to their respective polling stations across the district”, he said.
“We have 372 polling stations across the district, adding all the polling stations were equipped with drinking water, electricity, ramps, wheelchairs”, he said.
“All polling stations will be under 100% live webcasting to ensure transparency. Areas with communication challenges will have satellite phones, wireless sets, and special runners to maintain connectivity”, he said.
