Srinagar: Shalimar Paints Ltd., a pioneer in the Indian paints industry with a legacy of over 120 years, has strengthened its presence in Jammu and Kashmir by showcasing a range of premium products at a dealers’ meet in Pahalgam. The highlight of the event was the paint company’s revolutionary HERO range of products, developed after years of extensive research to offer durability and eco-friendly solutions tailored to evolving consumer needs. Shalimar Paints is expanding its presence in Jammu & Kashmir with new depots and products designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality, innovative, and durable solutions that can withstand extreme temperatures.
At the heart of the recent event in Pahalgam was the HERO range, a powerful line designed to meet these specific needs. Offering exceptional durability and eco-friendly solutions, the HERO range caters to consumers who prioritize both high performance and environmental sustainability. Shalimar Paints, India’s oldest paint brand, is expanding its focus on wood coatings under the “CareWood” brand within the decorative segment. Building on its existing Melamine category, the company is broadening the CareWood portfolio to serve both popular and luxury markets. In Jammu & Kashmir, known for its preference for premium wood coatings, Shalimar Paints is set to launch 2K Polyurethane (2KPU) in three variants tailored to the luxury segment. Additionally, to address the super-luxury market, the company is considering introducing polyester wood coatings in the region.
These advanced product lines underscore the company’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions that align with regional needs and preferences, reinforcing its market position while demonstrating dedication to supporting and expanding within key regional markets.
“We believe in building strong bonds with partners and providing a firsthand experience of the products to enhance their understanding and confidence in our offerings. Jammu and Kashmir is a strategically important market for us due to its dynamic and discerning consumers,” said Kuldip Raina, Director, Sales & Marketing, Shalimar Paints. “Reflecting our dedication to durability and lasting beauty, our HERO range stands as a testament to innovation and sustainability, while our full spectrum of wood finishes and coatings addresses needs ranging from stylish aesthetics to enduring protection. This launch in Pahalgam underscores our commitment to addressing local needs while strengthening our market presence,” he further added.

The HERO range features the HERO 7 in 1 Exterior Emulsion, engineered to endure harsh weather conditions while protecting surfaces from dust, water, and heat, and offering a seven-year warranty for added durability. Complementing this is the HERO 5 in 1 Interior Emulsion, which delivers superior coverage and a smooth finish for indoor spaces, and the HERO 2 in 1 Primer, crafted to enhance paint adhesion and provide a robust base for subsequent layers. Apart from the HERO range of emulsions and primers, the company also displayed its comprehensive collection of wood coatings, PU Satin Enamel, and waterproofing products. These latest additions to the company’s lineup meet the holistic painting and home decoration needs of consumers.

In the past year, Shalimar Paints has launched a variety of new products to meet the evolving needs of consumers. Each product underscores the company’s commitment to offering innovative and sustainable solutions. To advance these efforts, the company is also investing heavily in its R&D center to drive further innovation and enhance product quality.
