Shopian : SVEEP awareness programmes were on Saturday organised at Batapora Bus Stand, Main Chowk, Vehil and other places of Shopian district to motivate the electorate for their participation in polling, scheduled on September 18.
Huge gatherings were present on the occasion and people from all walks of life participated in the events.
The Nodal officer SVEEP, Shabir Ahmed and District Cultural Coordinator, Khurshid Ahmed while speaking on the occasion apprised the participants about the electoral process and threw light on the importance of exercising the franchise.
On this occasion, Nukkad Natak was also presented by the artists, in the direction of efforts to enhance voter awareness and literacy in the district.
