Srinagar: In the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar, at least 80 posts including several key positions are lying vacant in the revenue department.
The posts include dozens of Pathwari’s, Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar.
Quoting official figures a local news gathering agency on Saturday reported that in Srinagar district at least 37 posts of Patwari are lying vacant in the revenue department.
It also reveals that one post of Tehsildar and five posts of Naib Tehsildar are lying vacant in the district.
This information was revealed by the Public Information Officer (PIO) in a reply to Right to Information (RTI) filed by the activist M M Shuja.
The PIO further said that 13 posts of Junior Assistant, four posts of senior assistant, 8 posts of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), six posts of Girdawar, OQ and BGQ, three posts of WBM and two driver posts were lying vacant in revenue department of Srinagar
