Jammu: The Cyber Cell of District Police Jammu has successfully solved multiple online cyber fraud cases, recovering a total amount of ₹4,80,900.
In a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu Police said “In the first case, a victim was duped of ₹1,70,000 by a fraudster who posed as a family member and sought financial help. In another instance, a fake call from an Amazon parcel delivery agent led to a loss of ₹2,14,000. A third case involved an online investment scam, where the victim lost ₹96,900 to a fake AI Server landing platform company”.
The Police statement further reads “The Cyber Cell sprang into action, utilizing its specialized teams and advanced technology to investigate the complaints. Through swift and professional intervention, the team was able to put a hold on the fraudulent transactions, preventing further misuse of the funds.
