Jammu: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) received a major setback on Thursday as former BJP MLA Kamal Arora, along with prominent leader Rinku Arora and their supporters joined the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC). The formal induction took place in Srinagar under the leadership of Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference.
The event was also attended by key leaders of the National Conference, including Naresh Bittu, District President of Jammu Rural B, Block President of Arnia Ashwani Choudhary and Amit Choudhary, District Youth President Jammu Rural B. The senior NC leaders welcomed Kamal Arora and his supporters into the party fold, hailing their decision as a bold step towards securing the future of Jammu & Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Farooq Abdullah emphasized the growing trust and confidence that people from various political backgrounds are placing in the National Conference. He stated, “The National Conference stands for secularism, unity, development, and the rights of the people of Jammu & Kashmir. We welcome Kamal Arora and his supporters with open arms, and we are confident that together we will work for the betterment of the region.” Dr. Farooq Abdullah directed the dedicated and devoted strong rank and file of National Conference to work hard for the victory of National Conference and Congress alliance candidates contesting in upcoming J&K Assembly elections.
Kamal Arora, in his address, highlighted his disillusionment with the BJP’s policies and expressed confidence in the leadership of Dr. Farooq Abdullah and the vision of the National Conference. He said, “The National Conference has always been the true voice of the people of Jammu & Kashmir. Under Dr. Farooq Abdullah’s leadership, I am confident that we will bring real change and development to the region.”
The joining of Kamal Arora and his supporters is being seen as a significant move in Jammu’s political landscape, further consolidating the National Conference’s presence in the region.
