G’bal : To combat illegal mining activities, a late-night raid was executed in several areas of Ganderbal District by a team of the Geology and Mining department, led by DMO Ganderbal,Ranjit Singh.
During the operation, 10 vehicles including 9 tippers and 1 tractor involved in illegal mining activities were swiftly apprehended and subsequently impounded within the premises of the Police Stations.
The mobilization of the teams was highly efficient, resulting in the apprehension of the violators involved in this unlawful activity.
The extent of damage caused by these unlawful mining operations will be thoroughly assessed, and stringent penalties will be imposed on the culprits responsible for this blatant disregard of mining regulations.
District Mining officer Ganderbal Ranjit Singh Rana said our department is continuously holding inspections during day time and night hours in the areas having apprehension of illegal mining activities in Ganderbal.
