General Observer, Zainapora AC takes stock of election arrangements

Shopian : General Observor, Zainapora AC, Jeevan Babu K, held a comprehensive meeting with RO and Nodal Officers on Monday at the Mini Secretariat to take stock and assess the preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections in the 36-Zainapora Assembly Constituency.
The meeting was attended by various constituency nodal officers and district nodal officers responsible for different election-related activities.
During the meeting, each Nodal Officer briefed the Observer on the preparations, especially made on Home Voting, Postal Ballot for Essential services, Receipt & Dispatch, Material management, SVEEP, Web Casting, Trainings, implementation of MCC, C- Vigil, Campaign permissions, Voter Guide & Voter Information Slip distribution, AMF at Polling stations, welfare measures for polling staff, among other election related activities were discussed elaborately.
The Observer asked for extensive use of Social media for highlighting SVEEP activities across the Constituency by involving icons, students, influencers, posting election engagement creatives and content.
Additionally, the Observer gave specific instructions for Home Voting, directing the team to share a detailed plan with a schedule for Home Voting and also desired daily reporting on the activities of Flying Squad Teams (FST), Static Surveillance Teams (SST), C-Vigil functioning, and campaign permission, etc.
Jeevan Babu further instructed the officers to ensure proper AMF facilities at all polling stations, focusing on sanitation, toilets, and proper lighting and highlighted the need for providing refreshments to polling staff and emphasized involving dedicated staff to assist Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and other vulnerable voters on polling day.
The meeting concluded with directives from the Observer to all officers to ensure meticulous planning and execution to facilitate the smooth conduct of the elections.
