Jammu: The Janipur Police Station in Jammu region has arrested Kunal Singh, a notorious absconder and habitual offender, after a five-year-long manhunt, official sources said.
They said that Kunal Singh, a resident of Mandleek Nagar Paloura, Jammu, had been evading arrest in connection with two cases (FIR No. 28/2018 and 83/2019) related to vehicle theft. “Despite the police recovering the stolen vehicles, Kunal Singh had gone underground, prompting a chargesheet and arrest warrant against him,” sources further said. A police statement issued to Kashmir Horizon, reads that, “He was produced before the Hon’ble court of Sub Judge and 2nd Additional Munsiff for judicial determination, bringing an end to a long-drawn-out saga”.
