Jammu: In a crackdown on bovine smuggling, the Jammu Police has foiled a smuggling attempt, rescuing 2 bovines and arresting 2 accused in this connection.
In a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu Police said “the Police team of Police Post Pallanwala intercepted the smugglers, rescuing the bovines and apprehending Sonu Kumar and Rakesh Kumar on the spot. A case has been registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Khour, and further investigation is underway”. In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police reiterated its commitment to take strict actions against bovine smugglers and continue its efforts to curb this illegal activity.
