Jammu: Police Post Sarwal, Jammu, has busted a vehicle lifter gang, recovering a cache of stolen vehicles. The swift operation began on September 1, 2024, after a complaint was lodged about a stolen car (JK02M 8798) from outside a residence.
In a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu Police said “Acting promptly, the Sarwal team utilized technical tools and human intelligence to trace and recover the stolen car from Amb Garota within 24 hours. Two suspects were apprehended, and under sustained interrogation, they confessed to stealing the car and revealed the locations of other stolen vehicles”. Police in its statement further said “Subsequently, the police recovered three additional cars and one scooty. The swift recovery and arrests have bolstered public confidence in the Jammu Police, with widespread appreciation for their efficient handling of the case”. In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement Police said that further investigations are going on to uncover additional details and the gang’s modus operandi.
