Jammu : In a heartwarming turn of events, a missing lady from District Jammu has been successfully traced and reunited with her family by Police Station R.S Pura, Jammu.
According to a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu a missing report was filed on December 5 last year by the lady’s father, Juman Din, prompting the formation of a special team to locate her. Led by SHO P/S R.S Pura, the police team worked tirelessly, utilizing technical assistance to track down the missing individual. “After completing all necessary legal formalities, the lady was safely handed over to her legal heirs, reuniting her with her family,” reads the above referred police statement.
Jammu Police cracks down on illegal mining, seizes 5 vehicles
Jammu|Sept,2 : In a bid to combat illegal mining and hold violators accountable, Jammu Police has launched a crackdown on those involved in the illicit activity. A recent operation in the South Zone of District Jammu resulted in the seizure of five vehicles loaded with sand, extracted illegally.
In a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu Police said “the operation, carried out by PP Phallain Mandal under PSI Harish Chander, detained one truck and four tractor-trolleys at various locations. The seized vehicles were found in the jurisdiction of PS Satwari” , adding “Following the seizure, the District Mining Officer was informed to initiate necessary legal actions.” In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Jammu Police said that the crackdown was a part of a larger effort to curb illegal mining, reiterating therein its commitment to continue its efforts to safeguard public resources and prevent their exploitation.
