Srinagar :The residents of Hyderpora area of Srinagar Monday appealed to the concerned authorities to macadamize the lanes in their locality.
Talking to reporters the resident said that Bhat Lane 1 has not been macadamized for about ten years, thus creating many problems for the local inhabitants.
“Walking on this lane, especially at night, has turned out to be a big inconvenience and threat for all of us,” said Mirza Ahmad, a local resident.
He added that “it becomes difficult for us to move out from our homes whenever it rains, as the mud and silt gather in the lane due to water.”
Meanwhile, when contacted, an official from SMC Srinagar said, “we have taken the matter into consideration and will look into it and try to solve the matter as soon as possible”.
