Jammu: Jammu Police have arrested a notorious criminal with a double-barrel gun and ammunition in the Gajansoo area here in the city outskirts.
Police here on Sunday said that a criminal, namely Jeet Raj of Galwadey Chak, Tehsil Marh, Jammu, was arrested during a routine check.
“During the search of the vehicle, one 12-bore double-barrel gun and two live cartridges concealed in the boot space were seized,” said police.
They said that a case was registered at Police Station Kanachak and an investigation was taken up.
Police have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities in the area to aid in the ongoing crackdown on crime.
