Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Sunday said that the Abrogation of Article 370 has ushered in a new era of development and peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The abolition of Article 370 has shut down the shops of corruption, and they will never reopen,” Chugh told the media after meeting with party workers in Srinagar.
He claimed that since August 5, 2019, a new chapter of progress and harmony has begun in the region. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir have embraced Prime Minister Narendra Modi and rejected the Abdullahs, Muftis, and Gandhi-Nehru families, who exploited the region with their ego and corruption,” Chugh said.
Chugh criticised National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah, describing him as “a confused individual creating illusions about Article 370 and misleading the public.”
He said that Omar Abdullah is eligible for the “world’s most confused person award,” adding that his leadership is “100% confused and rejected by the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
Chugh emphasised that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, Jammu and Kashmir is experiencing happiness, peace, development, and trust.
“The abrogation of Article 370 and 35A was a step towards the region’s development,” he said. “Those who have looted Jammu and Kashmir will never succeed again; their shops of corruption have been shut down permanently.”
Chugh urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir not to fall prey to these parties, implying that they should support the BJP instead.
