One killed, eight others injured in road collision in Jammu’s Kunjwani

Srinagar, Aug 31: A girl was killed and eight others were injured in a collision near the Bata showroom in Kunjwani, Jammu, officials said.

Quoting an official, the news agency NVI reported that a road collision near the Kunjwani area of Jammu has claimed the life of a girl and left eight other persons injured.
The official added the deceased has been identified as Surbhi Kumari (18), a resident of Jallo Chak Gangyal.

The injured were later identified as Saina, 16, daughter of Mohd Rafiq, resident of Kunjwani; Goutam Sharma, son of the late Manoj Kumar, resident of Chatha, age 25; Akesh Mohan, son of the late Tilak Raj Mohan, resident of Afgana Mohalla Panjtrithi, age 39; Muskan Sharma, daughter of Rohi Dass, resident of Ratnu Chak Jammu, age 16; Sarita, daughter of Upinder Ram, resident of Dhyansar Bari Brahmana, age 16; Nisha, daughter of Durga Swansi, resident of Dhyansar Bari Brahmana, age 16; Sumit Kumar, son of Mulkh Raj, resident of Doda, presently residing at Bari Brahmana; and Shivani, 14, daughter of Raj Kumar, resident of Kunjwani.

Moreover, the injured have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
