Jammu: In a crackdown on bovine smuggling, Jammu police have foiled a smuggling attempt, rescuing 11 bovines and seizing a vehicle in the Sub-division Nagrota.
Reports said that a police team from Police Post Manwal intercepted a vehicle (JK11G-0142) at Nadal Naka, rescuing the animals. The driver fled, leaving the vehicle behind. A case under FIR No. 200/2024 has been registered under the relevant sections of the BNS Act and PCA Act at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli. Investigations are ongoing.
Meanwhile Police in a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu said that it will take strict actions against bovine smugglers, reiterating its commitment to prevent illegal activities.
