Srinagar: The Vice President J&K National Conference and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday exhorted party members to prepare for the upcoming elections and ensure that the party’s vision and mission, as outlined in the manifesto, reach every household.
Addressing party workers, functionaries, and office bearers at the party’s district headquarters in Ganderbal Omar Abdullah urged them to strive diligently to ensure that the party’s vision and mission reach every doorstep. He emphasized that the party manifesto reflects the aspirations of the people and serves as a roadmap to fulfill them.
Reflecting on his deep connection with the constituency, Omar spoke of the bond he has nurtured with the people of Ganderbal, a bond that was established by his grandfather Sher-e-Kashmir and father Dr. Farooq over decades. He shared, “I began my career in Ganderbal, and I see people here now with grey hairs just like mine. When we first started working together two decades ago, we were all young. It is the unwavering love of the people of Ganderbal that has brought me back here.”
Omar made it clear that his dedication to serving the people is not mere rhetoric, stating, “I do not make empty promises. The people of Beerwah can attest to how diligently I worked for them during my time as their MLA.”
