New Delhi : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday attended Monsoon Music festival ‘Boondan Phuhar (बूँदन फुहार)’, organised by Girija Darshan Trust, at New Delhi.
In his address, the Lt Governor commended the organisers for the musical evening of Ragas dedicated to rainy season. The Lt Governor also lauded the significant contribution of Vidushi Sunanda Sharma, a distinguished disciple of Girija Devi and Pt. Sudarshan Sharma, for preserving and promoting the rich musical and artistic heritage of Banaras.
Vidushi Sunanda Sharma, an Indian Classical Vocalist from Banaras Gharana, enthralled the audience, through her soulful rendition of classical ragas. She was accompanied by ShGhulam Ali on Sarangi, ShMithileshJha on Tabla and ShVinay Mishra on harmonium.
