Ganderbal: Under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority and J&K Legal Services Authority, the District Legal Services Authority, Ganderbalon Thursday organized an awareness program on ‘DivyangjanKaushalVikas and DivyangjanRozgarSetu’ for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), here.
The program aimed to promote skill development and employment opportunities for Persons with Disabilities.
Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel, Ganderbal, Tanveer Ashraf imparted awareness on laws relating to Persons with Disabilities, including the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, the National Trust Act, and the Mental Health Care Act.
He emphasized the importance of understanding these laws to advocate for the rights and needs of PwDs and work towards a more inclusive society.
The program was a significant step towards empowering PwDs and promoting their rights and dignity.
