Awareness progs to promote electoral participation held at Kulgam

Kulgam : In a bid to promote electoral participation and ensure informed voting, a series of awareness programmes were conducted in Kulgam under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative.
The programmes were held under the theme Votuk Taqat with the slogan ‘I Vote for Sure’, aiming to highlight the significance of voting among female employees and Self Help Group (SHG) members in the district.
A special awareness session was organized exclusively for female employees, focusing on the importance of exercising their voting rights here at mini-secretariat Kulgam.
This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to empower women and encourage their active participation in the democratic process.
Additionally, awareness sessions were held for Self Help Group members across all three Assembly Constituencies in Kulgam.
These sessions were designed to sensitize the members about the power of their vote and the role it plays in shaping the future of their community and the nation.SVEEP: Various activities to promote Voter awareness held at GDC Khansahib
Budgam : The Electoral Literacy Club and NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Khansahib Wednesday conducted different Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) related activities, here.
The activities were organized under the patronage of college Principal, Dr.NargisBano.
At the outset, the Principal of the College welcomed and appreciated NSS volunteers for actively participating in voter awareness progra
The participants were administered voters pledge by Dr.SajadPadder, NSS Program Officer at the institution. Thereafter, Dr.Sajad spoke on the importance of voting for ensuring efficiency, sustainability, development and accountability in a democratic set-up.
He also trained the students about the Voter Helpline Application which provides different services online viz. Registration as voter, deletion or correction of EPIC details through form 6, form 7 and form 8.
At the end of the program, a quiz competition on voter awareness was also conducted. The outgoing NSS volunteers were given NSS certificates by Principal of the College and Prof ZafarShadad Khan.

SVEEP: Mega Awareness Prog organised at GBHSS Khrew, Pampore
Pulwama : A mega awareness programme was on Wednesday organized at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) KhrewPampore aimed at enhancing voter awareness and participation.
The comprehensive and impactful event featured a large-scale gathering of BLO’s, students, teachers and local community members, creating a vibrant and engaged audience.
The whole session was filled with a variety of cultural programs, including performances, singing and skits that creatively illustrated the importance of voting and civic responsibility.
A message on the importance of making the right use of a vote and effective participation in a democratic set up was delivered during the programme.
Additionally, a series of lectures were delivered by different experts in the field, including electoral officials, staff members, students and representatives. These presentations provided valuable insights into the electoral process, voter rights and the significance of each vote in a democratic society.
The interactive nature of the event, combined with its informative content, successfully fostered a heightened sense of civic duty and encouraged greater electoral participation among the attendees.
