Somamarg: A significant demolition drive was successfully conducted in Sonamarg under the direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Sonamarg Development Authority (SDA). This operation was part of the ongoing efforts by the SDA to maintain the ecological integrity and scenic beauty of Sonamarg by curbing illegal constructions in the area.

The demolition drive was executed by dedicated teams of SDA employees who worked diligently to dismantle several illegal structures that had been constructed in violation of local regulations. The swift and efficient action by the SDA underscores its commitment to enforcing the rule of law and preserving the natural landscape of this popular tourist destination.

The Sonamarg Development Authority remains resolute in its mission to protect the environment and ensure that any development in the region is in strict accordance with the legal framework. Further actions will continue to be taken against unauthorized constructions to prevent any further degradation of the area’s natural resources.

The SDA appeals to all the hoteliers and residents visitors and other stakeholders to cooperate in maintaining the pristine condition of Sonamarg and to adhere strictly to the legal guidelines governing construction and development.
