Chairperson DLSA visits Distt Jail Kupwara, takes stock of facilities for jail inmates

Kupwara : The Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA)/Pr. District & Sessions Judge Kupwara, Shazia Tabasum on Wednesday visited District Jail Kupwara to take stock of the facilities available for the jail inmates lodged therein.
The Chairperson DLSA was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan; ASP Police Kupwara, G.M Bhat; Chief Prosecuting Officer Kupwara, Syed Jehangir; Chief Administrative Officer District Court Kupwara, Ali Mohammad Kumar; Deputy LADC Kupwara, Assistant LADC Kupwara, Para Legal Volunteers and other officials of DLSA Kupwara.
On the occasion, the Chairperson DLSA headed team conducted inspection of the jail barracks and interacted with the jail inmates, to inquire about their grievances.
The team also visited the kitchen area of the Jail to take the stock of the food and hygienic conditions. They also interacted with the Jail inmates having health related issues and stressed upon PLVs to record their grievances for early redressal.
