Srinagar: J&K police Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) Saturday announced a cash of Rs three lakhs reward to whosoever provides information about a wanted Pakistan-based militant commander associated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit.
A police statement said a Pakistan based militant commander and handler known by the different code names like Sumama, Illyas and Babar a resident of Pakistan and associated with LeT outfit is wanted by CI Kashmir in case registered this year under section 13, 38, 39, 40 UA(P) Act, 120-B IPC of police station CI Kashmir.
“The said Militant handler is involved in radicalizing, motivating and recruiting the potential/gullible youth of UT of J&K in to militant ranks through different social media applications, including encrypted messaging applications and is using Kashmiri netizens as couriers for raising and passing on funds to different Militant organizations for carrying out militant acts in the valley,” police said.
He added that the CI Kashmir has declared a cash reward of Rs. 3,00,000 against the above Pak based Commander, handler of proscribed militant organization LeT.
“If any person has any information regarding the above militant Commander/ Handler leading to his arrest or apprehension, he may share the same on the following phone number and address and earn the required reward, ” the police said, adding the Identity of the informer shall be kept secret.
