Yuva Chaupal organized under SVEEP at GDC Reasi

Reasi: A unique program ‘Yuva Shakti Chaupal’ was held on Friday at Government General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College Reasi to promote electoral participation and empower young and first-time voters in the electoral process.
The event was hosted under the supervision of District Election Officer, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, District Nodal Officer SVEEP Sachin Sharma, along with Tehsildar Bhomag Mehak Mahajan.
Nodal Officer SVEEP Sachin Sharma sensitized the young voters about the significance of their vote in the democratic process. He emphasized the importance of voter participation and also appealed to all the young voters to cast their vote on the poll day, that is, September 25, 2024 along with other members of the society.
Tehsildar Bhomag, Mehak Mahajan highlighted the vital role of young voters in the electoral process and appealed to the students to be actively involve in infusing electoral awareness among the community.
During the event, students performed various activities viz. Poetry recitation, and symposium to highlight the importance of voting to strengthen democracy.
The event concluded with the participants taking the SVEEP pledge, reaffirming their commitment to active participation in the upcoming assembly elections 2024.
Principal GDC Reasi Muzzamal Hussain, Assistant Professor Baldev Singh, other faculty members and students were present.
