Kishtwar: The first randomization of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for the 48-Inderwal 49-Kishtwar and 50-Nagseni Paddar of District Kishtwar was held here under the supervision of District Election Officer Rajesh Kumar Shavan and in the presence of senior officials, ROs and representatives from different political parties.
The randomization process focused on allocating 643 Ballot Units, Control Units, and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) units for 429 polling stations across 3 assembly Constituencies of district Kishtwar.
The randomization was carried out using dedicated software designed for this purpose.
Earlier, the I/C Technical Support District Election Office Vikrant Thakur, in presence of Respective ROs, briefed political representatives about the process, reassuring them of comprehensive arrangements in place to guarantee fair polls.
Second randomization will determine the specific allocation of EVMs to polling stations.
