Jammu : In a determined crackdown on drug trafficking, Jammu Police, under the operation “Sanjeevani,” made a significant seizure on August 21, 2024.
Gulzar Hussain, son of Hassan Din, a resident of Baghyal Dhara, District Poonch, was arrested in the Narwal area, found in possession of approximately 1 kg 230 grams of heroin-like substance.
The arrest was made by a police team led by the SHO of Police Station Bahu Fort and the Incharge of Police Post Narwal, under the supervision of the SDPO East and SP South.
A case has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort under FIR No. 200/2024, U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act. This significant recovery marks a decisive step in curbing the drug trade in the area, which has several known drug hotspots.
Jammu Police urges citizens to remain vigilant against the dangers of drug abuse and to report any suspicious activities related to narcotics promptly. The confidentiality of informants will be strictly maintained to ensure their safety and security.
