DEO G’bal inspects Polling stations, DCRC & Distt Control Room

Ganderbal: In view of the upcoming Assembly Election 2024, the District Election Officer (DEO) Ganderbal, Shyambiron Thursdayconducted a comprehensive inspection of several Polling stations, Distribution Cum Collection Centre (DCRC) and Integrated District Election Control Room.
During the visit, the DEO was accompanied by SSP Ganderbal, WasimQadri, ACR Ganderbal, Deputy DEO, CEO and other officials.
The DEO made a comprehensive field visit to assess the readiness of the polling infrastructure within the Ganderbal Assembly Constituency. He inspected the Key facilities at Polling Stations including the availability of ramps for wheelchair access, adequate drinking water facilities, proper electricity, toilet facility, and other related arrangements.
While interacting with election staff, the DEO stated that our focus is to ensure that every voter has a fair and equitable voting experience. He gave necessary instructions and exhorted close coordination among concerned officials to ensure that facilities at all polling stations meet the highest standards of accessibility and efficiency.
During his visit to the Dispatch Cum Receipt Centre at Government Degree College Ganderbal, the DEO thoroughly reviewed the arrangements and gave necessary instructions to the concerned for ensuring fool-proof arrangements at DCRC.
Later, the DEO conducted a thorough inspection of the arrangements at the Integrated District Election Control Room, ensuring all preparations are in place for the upcoming elections.
The DEO reviewed various aspects of the control room’s operations, including the deployment of staff, communication systems, and response protocols.
During the inspection, the DEO interacted with the staff, providing guidance on handling election-related queries, complaints, and emergencies.
Shyambir expressed satisfaction with the arrangements, however he stressed the importance of vigilance and responsiveness during the election period.
