Assembly Polls: DEO B’pora reviews Election preparedness in Sumbal

Bandipora: The District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri accompanied by ADC/Nodal Officer MCC, ZaffarHussonShawal on Wednesday visited Sumbal to conduct a comprehensive review of election preparedness in the 14-Sonawari Assembly Constituency (AC) of Bandipora District.
On the occasion, SDM Sumbal/RO 14-Sonawari, AamirChoudhary, briefed the DEO on various preparatory measures taken to ensure the smooth conduct of the General Election to the Legislative Assembly 2024.
During the visit, the DEO inspected the strong room and facilities for the Data Centre/Recovery Centre (DC/RC). The inspection focused on verifying the security measures, accessibility, and overall readiness of these facilities to manage the electoral process efficiently.
The DEO expressed satisfaction with the progress and emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of preparedness and security. He also stressed the need for a transparent and orderly election process.
He instructed the SDM Sumbal to ensure compliance with ECI guidelines for setting up various facilitation centres for GELA-2024.
The DEO affirmed the administration’s commitment to conducting free, fair, and transparent elections, and emphasized that every effort would be made to ensure the participation of all eligible voters in the democratic process.
