Kulgam: Many Govt employees are without electricity connections by using electricity illegally at village Nageenpora and Razloo area of Kund belt in south kashmiri’s Kulgam district.
Credible sources informed that there are several govt employees in Kund belt including village Nageenpora and Razloo who are without electricity connections, while as PDD department is in deep slumber for failing to check the power theft in the belt. “I am paying Electricity Bill Rs. 1400 despite being a poor, but it’s very unfortunate that there are many Govt employees in the area who are taking handsome salary from Govt, but are without electricity connections by using electricity illegally”, a local said. “We have brought this issue several times with concerned PDD Division, but nothing has been done so far, it seems they are in hand in glove with the influential people” he said. Mohd Yousuf Mir, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) KPDCL, SD Qazigund, said that he would constitute a team to check the illegal connection in the area, adding, those found guilty will be dealt strictly.
