Srinagar : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah chaired a meeting with the party functionaries at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha,Srinagar. The agenda included discussions on political affairs, organizational matters, issues faced by the public, and the upcoming assembly elections.
During the meeting, various topics were addressed, such as party operations, organizational initiatives, challenges encountered by the citizens, and most importantly, the impending assembly elections. The economic crisis, unemployment rates, inflation surge, and ongoing party activities were also highlighted by the party functionaries.
Participants expressed deep concern over the government’s negligence towards the citizens, as essential services that were once readily available are now scarce despite public outcry. The continuous cancellation of recruitment processes was condemned, as it only serves to exacerbate the frustration and hopelessness felt by the youth.
Vice President Omar Abdullah emphasized the importance of unity within the party and maintaining strong connections with the public to ensure the success of party candidates in the upcoming parliamentary elections. He stressed that the National Conference draws its strength from the collaboration and support of the people, making them the cornerstone of the party’s vision.
Omar Abdullah reiterated that the party’s ability to serve the public and represent the interests of all three regions hinges on its strength. Therefore, it is imperative to prioritize the party’s growth and work diligently towards achieving common goals, he said adding, “The National Conference remains committed to its founding principle of empowering the people and will continue to uphold this belief steadfastly.”
