Srinagar: Mubassir Latifi on Saturday assumed charge as the In-charge Deputy Inspector General of Police (Pers.) at Police Headquarters (PHQ), succeeding DIG M Suleman Choudhary.
According to a statement issued from Police Media Centre, PHQ J&K Srinagar , a formal handing over and taking over of charge ceremony was held between the officers.
Earlier Latifi has served the department in various capacities including Dy SP SOG Sopore, Dy SP Hqrs. Jammu, SDPO Shopian, SDPO Nowshera, Addl SP Jammu, SP South Jammu, SP Ramban, SP Kulgam, SP Rajouri, SP Crime Jammu, AIG (Pers) PHQ, AIG (Prov/Tpt) PHQ, CO-IRP -15th Bn., and CO-IRP-10th Bn.
