Nagrota (Jammu) : President Jammu & Kashmir National Conference President Dr.Farooq Abdullah on Friday said ruling BJP has undermined development demands of the people of Jammu.
Addressing a workers rally held at Jandiyal, Nagrota Dr Abdullah welcomed noted political activist and BJP leader DDC Nagrota Joginder Singh Kaku, along with his numerous workers into the party fold. Issuing a rallying cry to the people of Jammu, he urged them to teach the ruling BJP a lesson for their anti-people policies and the utter failure of the so-called twin-engine syndrome. He said, “The “double engine sarkar failed to bring prosperity to Jammu region. It has proven to be nothing but a sham, causing immense suffering to the people of Jammu through the colossal failure of the Centre and the BJP-driven LG administration.”
Shedding light on the hardships faced by the people of Jammu due to a completely unresponsive governing system, Dr. Farooq emphasized that, “the upcoming Assembly elections offer a crucial opportunity for the people to hold the BJP, which has been in power for a decade, accountable. Time has come for the people’s court to deliver its judgment.”
Urging voters to demand answers from BJP leaders and candidates about their actions and contributions, Dr. Farooq said. “It is imperative that voters consign these BJP leaders to the dustbin through the power of the ballot, ensuring that they never again take the people of Jammu for granted.” He further highlighted the NC’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the poor, downtrodden, farmers, women, small traders, and all sections of society. “It is time for the people of Jammu to stand up, demand accountability, and ensure that their voices are heard loud and clear in the upcoming elections,” he added.
