Jammu : 78th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervor and gaiety in Sub Division Marh, SDM MannuHansa hoisted the Tricolour at GHS School playground.
SDM Marh while hoisting the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the March Past. The parade comprised contingents of JKAP, JKP, NCC Cadets of Govt. College/Schools/Private Schools. Police Band and Troop Squad were also part of the parade.
In his address, Manu Hansa, SDM Marh recounted the rapid growth of India over 78 years of freedom. He also listed achievements recorded in Sub Division Marh on the development front.
On the occasion, colourful cultural programmes were presented which enthralled a gleefully cheering audience.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were TehsildarMarh, R.K. Rathore, SDPO Domana, MudassarHussain besides senior officers from civil and police administration, BSF, former elected representatives, prominent citizens, social workers, political activists, media persons and public in large attended the function.
