Srinagar : Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bulhari on Thursday hoisted national flag on the even of Independence Day at Apni Party Headquarters in Srinagar.
After the event, Bukhari while talking to reporters said “As we celebrate our nation’s Independence Day today, I extend my warmest greetings to my fellow citizens, especially to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. May this significant day bring prosperity and well-being to all and promote unity and harmony among people of diverse religious faiths and regions across the country. On this day in 1947, India achieved its freedom after a prolonged struggle and tremendous sacrifices against British colonial rule. He said, “People have suffered greatly over the past 35 years. I am sure the upcoming elected government will provide solace to the wounds of the people.” He made it clear that Apni Party is not allied with any political party. He said, “We are not allied with any political party. In the upcoming elections, we will neither seek support from any political party nor offer support to any party. I am sure that Apni Party will receive the public mandate in these elections.”
