Sericulture Dev Deptt J&K organizes Tiranga Rally

Srinagar : The Sericulture Development Department, J&K on Tuesday organized a vibrant Tiranga Rally at the Directorate of Sericulture, Tulsi Bagh, Srinagar.
The rally was organized under the leadership of Director Sericulture J&K, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat with great enthusiasm exhibited by the Officers and Officials of the Sericulture Department.
The event witnessed huge participation of employees who proudly waved the national flag while singing patriotic songs that echoed and resonated through the entire premises of the Sericulture Dev. Department at Tulsi Bagh Srinagar.
The Tiranga Rally was not just a demonstration of national pride but also a celebration of the unity and spirit of the Sericulture community across the board. The employees, adorned in tricolor, marched through the streets of the entire premises and roads of Sericulture Complex at Tulsi Bagh, Srinagar while displaying messages of patriotism and unity with the nationalistic spirit in the run up to the Independence Day celebrations being held on 15th August 2024.
On this occasion, the Director Sericulture took a significant step towards environmental conservation by planting a tree within the Directorate’s premises. This act was part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, an initiative aimed at promoting tree plantation in the name of mothers, symbolizing love, care, and nurturing values deeply ingrained in both motherhood and environmental stewardship which will go a long way in preserving our ecology and environment.
Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized the importance of such initiatives that besides fostering a sense of national pride also contributes to the well-being of our environment. He urged all employees to take active part in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign and plant more trees to ensure a greener and healthier future for the generations to come.
The rally concluded with a renewed sense of patriotism and commitment to the environment, as employees pledged to contribute positively to the nation and the ecosystem.
The Additional Director, Sericulture Dev. Deptt., Kashmir, Development Officer, ISDP Sonawari,Project Executive Officer, Srinagar District Sericulture Officer, Srinagar/ Budgam and other Officers of the Departmentwere also present on the occasion.
