Kulgam: Gujjar Basti Mashud, a remote village and its adjoining villages area of Devsar belt in south Kashmiri’s Kulgam district are living in isolation without roads and other basic facilities.
As per reports, Lack of basic amenities is making it difficult for them to live a comfortable life there as they usually face inconvenience. “We don’t have healthcare facility here, we don’t have network connectivity, while we also don’t have a proper road connectivity, nor do we have a water supply scheme.” a local Abdul Qayoom said. “We are suffering from many years while the administration is not responding to our demands,” he said. Another local stated that, “We are being treated like animals as no attention is being provided towards our village despite repeated visits to the offices of concerned officers.” The villagers appealed the LG Manoj Sinha and district administration Kulgam to look into this matter and resolve their demands as soon as possible.
