IUST Hosts Symposium on Shahadat-i Imam Hussain (R.A)

Awantipora : The Department of Islamic Studies at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) organized an inter-departmental symposium on Shahadat-i Imam Hussain (R.A) today reflecting on the enduring lessons of sacrifice, justice, and truth.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office IUST here, the symposium, moderated by Dr. Riyaz Ahmad Sheikh, featured participants from various disciplines across the university.The event was chaired by Prof. Abdul Wahid, Registrar IUST, who emphasized the importance of a balanced study of Islamic history. Prof. Ayaz Hassan Moon, Dean of Academic Affairs, shared insights on the spiritual and philosophical aspects of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, while Dr. Munejah Khan underscored the interdisciplinary relevance of the study.
