Day two of ‘My Youth My Pride’ Sports Activities energizes South Kashmir

Srinagar: Building on the success of the opening day, the straight second day saw the J&K Sports Council’s ‘My Youth My Pride’ sports activities infuse South Kashmir with excitement and energy.
In Pulwama, the Sports Stadium was a hive of activity, hosting an energetic curling competition featuring talented athletes from local schools and academies. The Indoor Stadium in RajporaPulwama buzzed with badminton matches, while the playfield in Pampore was filled with the excitement of basketball games.
Shopian experienced a day of high-intensity competition, with hockey and wushu matches taking place at the Sports Stadium in Batpora. Students from JKSC training centers and local schools competed with determination, while the playfield in ChitragamShopian hosted a lively volleyball tournament.
In Kulgam, the Indoor Sports Hall in Qaimoh drew large crowds for kabaddi matches, while the Mini Stadium in Kulgam was abuzz with volleyball action. Chess enthusiasts showcased their skills at Kellam Boys Higher Secondary School in a highly competitive environment.
Anantnag’s far-flung area of LarnooKokernag saw spirited volleyball matches as part of the MYMP activities. Kabaddi matches at the Playfield in TickbaghMattanAnantnag attracted athletes from across the region, and the Indoor Complex in Nilandrusu became a battleground for young chess players, showcasing impressive participation.
Divisional Sports Officer, Central, monitored the events, visiting various venues across South Kashmir to ensure smooth operations. He reaffirmed the commitment of higher authorities to support and elevate sports activities throughout J&K, enhancing the level of athletic competition.
