DSWO Reasi inaugurated Skill Dev Course on “Knitting Wool Fabrics using Innovative Women Friendly Machinery” under BBBP

Reasi: Department of Social Welfare in convergence with Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission (JKRLM) under BetiBachaoBetiPadhao scheme organised Skill Development Training Course “Knitting Wool Fabric Using innovative Women Friendly Machinery” at Community Facilitation Centre, PanchayatBhaga, Block Reasi.
The event was inaugurated by District Social Welfare Officer Reasi, Sachin Sharma. A batch of 30 Self Help Group Members participated in a 15 days training course. Speaking on the occasion DSWO Sachin Sharma emphasised that the specific objective of this training course is to make women self-reliant.
He interacted with all the candidates and guided them to regularly attend the session to take full advantage of this training. He emphasized that this training course shall be imparted by a specialised trainer RituVerma from Jammu who has rich experience in imparting skill development training.
DSWO also sensitized the candidates about various financial schemes which are beneficial for them to open their self-employment ventures and assured the participants that the Department shall guide them to open their start-ups by providing forward-backward linkages with various financial institutions.
Jugal Sharma, District Programme Manager JKRLM presented vote of thanks to District Social Welfare Reasi for this significant initiative under BetiBachaoBetiPadhao scheme. He urged the participants to take maximum benefit from such trainings and assured that more trainings will be conducted in near future in convergence with the Department of Social Welfare, Reasi.
AshaMahila Cluster Level Federation President Anita Kumari, Gender Specialist SANKALP HEW ReasiRitu Sharma, Lovely Parl, Supervisor CHL Ankush Sharma and other officials were present.
