CBC’s multimedia exhibition in Padder continues to pull crowds on day 3

Kishtwar:: The ongoing five day long multimedia exhibition on Flagship schemes of Government of India organised by the Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, in Padder saw an appreciable peak in footfall as it entered its third day on Monday.
The exhibition, which is aimed at the mass awareness of various public welfare schemes of the government, the progress made in different sectors and the new initiatives of the government, is being organised by CBC’s Field Office, Doda at Sports Stadium, Gulabgarh from 10th August to August 14.
Information about the welfare schemes is disseminated to the public in an integrated manner through photo exhibits, informative standees, expert lectures, IEC material as well as by medium of performing arts and cultural progra
District Development Council (DDC) member, Padder, HariKrishanChauhan presided over the proceedings on the third day. Speaking on the occasion he appreciated the goodwork CBC is doing for public awareness at the grassroots level. He said that the exhibition is an opportunity for the local residents and devotees alike to know about a spectrum of schemes and programmes being run by the government for public welfare.
KhursheedYousuf, Field Publicity Officer, CBC said that awareness is the first step in the successful implementation of public welfare schemes and CBC works to ensure that the masses have the right type of information to get the benefits. He said the multimedia exhibition at Padder is designed to provide the information through a direct interaction between the stakeholders and in an easy as well as entertaining way.
Dr. Sunil Singh, from Animal Husbandry Department, Padder also addressed the audience and apprised them about various schemes aimed at providing financial assistance, self employment ,farmer welfare, social security and upliftment of the poor and the marginalised. He made a special mention of National Artificial Insemination Programme (NAIP) and Holistic Agricultural Development Programme (HADP),
Speaking on the occasion, Virender Singh, from Agriculture department delivered an address on the various Centrally sponsored schemes implemented by the department for the farmer community. He added that schemes like PM SammanNidhi and Kisan Credit Card (KCC) are aimed at providing financial assistance to the farmers.
As part of the NashaMukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA), a flagship mass awareness campaign against drug demand reduction, a pledge against drugs was taken during the event. It is pertinent to mention here that the theme of this year’s NMBA celebration is “Viksit Bharat ka Mantra, Bharat ho Nasha see Swatantra”.
As part of the CBC’s integrated communication strategy, Empanelled Troupe performed the cultural programme with special emphasis on local folk. VikramUppal, I/C CBC Doda conducted the day-long proceeding.
