Police organisesTiranga rally in Shopian: Plantation drive held at Shopian, Sopore under the theme “Aek Ped Shaheed K Naam”

Srinagar : Police on Saturday organised aTiranga rally in Shopian besides launching plantation drive in Shopian and Sopore.
In Shopian the District Police Shopian in collaboration with Civil Administration of District Shopian organised a mega Tiranga Rally under ‘MeriMaati, Mera Desh’ campaign which was kick started and joined by ASP Shopian, ADC Shopian, Dy SP Hqrs Shopian, Dy SP OPS Keller, Dy SP DAR DPL Shopian, SHO Police Station Shopian, Police personnel of District Police Shopian, Students of different schools also participated in the Tiranga rally.
The rally started from the Sports Stadium BataporaShopian and culminated at the DPL Shopian. The Rally concluded peacefully at DPL Shopian wherein all participants took pledge to play their part in building a developed India, to remove any trace of colonial mindset, to strive for the unity and solidarity of the country, to fulfil duties and responsibilities towards nation, to honour the sacrifice of country’s brave hearts and devote to Nation’s defence.
Moreover, as a part of the ongoing campaign under the theme “Aek Ped Shaheed Kay Naam”, plantation drive was carried by SSP Shopian Tanushree, planted saplings of different plant species at DPO/DPL Shopian in the loving memory of Police Martyrs of District Shopian, Dy SP Hqrs Shopian and other Police Officers/officials also took part in the plantation drive.
Meanwhile, Sopore Police in collaboration with Social Foresty Department Range Sopore Division Baramulla organized plantation drive in the loving memory of Police Martyrs at District Police Lines Sopore. SP Sopore Smt. Divya D accompanied by DySP DAR Sopore, NOKs of Police Martyrs and other officers and officials of Sopore Police participated in the drive.
