Piping ceremony of TIs: Commissioner STD pins stars to newly promoted officers

Jammu : Piping ceremony of the recently promoted Sub Inspectors of State Taxes Department (STD) to Inspectors was held during a ceremonial function at Excise and Taxation Complex here.
A total of eight personnel serving at Sub Inspectors rank were promoted to the Inspector rank.The promoted officers were decorated with their new ranks by Commissioner, State Taxes Department, P K Bhat and Additional Commissioner Enforcement and Administration Jammu NamritaDogra.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner STD congratulated newly promoted officers and encouraged them to keep doing their duties with sincerity and honesty.
He called upon the officers to educate the public about the role of taxes and revenue extraction in building the nation and encouraged the newly promoted officers to educate the masses about the Goods and Services Taxes (GST).
